Welcome to LOCOVA. LOCOVA is a technology platform that helps people discover, explore, book, purchase, connect with, and engage with businesses, professionals, experiences, services, products, events, places, and opportunities based on their interests, preferences, behavior, and location.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of LOCOVA’s mobile application, website, software, artificial intelligence features, concierge services, marketplace features, booking services, content, and related products and services.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any LOCOVA service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
1. Definitions
- “LOCOVA”, “we”, “us”, “our” refer to the platform and its operators.
- “User” means any individual who accesses or uses the platform.
- “Vendor” means any merchant, business owner, seller, retailer, supplier, advertiser, event organizer, service provider, professional, consultant, creator, host, or organization that offers products, services, experiences, events, reservations, bookings, or other commercial opportunities through LOCOVA.
- “Content” means text, images, videos, reviews, ratings, listings, descriptions, comments, messages, advertisements, and any other material uploaded, published, displayed, or transmitted through the platform.
- “Services” means all features, functionality, products, tools, recommendations, booking systems, concierge services, marketplace services, and technologies provided by LOCOVA.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account and use LOCOVA independently.
By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
To use this application you have to sign up with your correct details.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account.
You agree to promptly update any information that becomes inaccurate or outdated.
LOCOVA may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, violate these Terms, create security risks, or are reasonably suspected of fraudulent activity.
4. Vendor and Professional Accounts
Businesses and professionals may create vendor accounts to promote, advertise, list, sell, offer, or provide products and services through LOCOVA.
Vendors remain solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, pricing, product descriptions, qualifications, licenses, permits, certifications, representations, availability information, and customer communications.
Creating a vendor account does not guarantee approval, visibility, verification, recommendation placement, or continued access to the platform.
LOCOVA reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, remove, or restrict any vendor account, listing, or professional profile at its discretion.
5. Verification
LOCOVA may require identity verification, business registration documents, government-issued identification, proof of ownership, licenses, permits, certifications, tax information, or other documentation to verify individuals and businesses operating on the platform.
Verification does not constitute endorsement, certification, recommendation, warranty, or guarantee by LOCOVA.
Users remain responsible for conducting their own independent assessment before engaging with any vendor, professional, business, or service provider.
6. Listings and Marketplace Services
LOCOVA may provide tools that allow vendors to create listings for products, services, events, experiences, accommodations, reservations, bookings, consultations, or other offerings.
LOCOVA acts as a technology platform facilitating discovery and connection between participants.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, LOCOVA is not a party to transactions between users and vendors and does not assume responsibility for the quality, legality, safety, availability, delivery, performance, suitability, or outcome of any product or service offered through the platform.
Any agreement entered into between users and vendors is solely between those parties.
7. Concierge Services
LOCOVA may provide concierge, recommendation, sourcing, procurement, coordination, travel, lifestyle, relocation, project management, reservation, or facilitation services.
Concierge services are provided on a reasonable effort basis.
LOCOVA does not guarantee specific outcomes, availability, pricing, vendor performance, timelines, business decisions, investment returns, travel experiences, or customer satisfaction.
8. Artificial Intelligence and Recommendations
LOCOVA may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, predictive analytics, personalization technologies, and recommendation systems.
Recommendations may be generated using user preferences, behavior, location data, historical interactions, marketplace activity, business information, and other relevant factors.
AI generated recommendations are intended to assist decision making and should not be interpreted as guarantees, endorsements, professional advice, financial advice, legal advice, medical advice, investment advice, or assurances of quality.
Users are responsible for independently evaluating information before making decisions.
9. Payments and Fees
Certain services may require payment.
Users agree to pay all applicable fees, charges, subscriptions, taxes, commissions, booking fees, service fees, convenience fees, and transaction costs associated with their use of the platform.
LOCOVA may engage third party payment processors to facilitate payments. LOCOVA does not control the operation of third party payment providers and is not responsible for payment processing failures caused by such providers.
10. Refunds
Unless otherwise required by law, purchases, bookings, reservations, subscriptions, and transactions are final.
Refund requests may be considered in cases involving duplicate charges, technical errors, unauthorized transactions, or exceptional circumstances.
Any refund determination shall be made at LOCOVA’s sole discretion.
11. Reviews and Ratings
Users may submit ratings, reviews, comments, and feedback.
Reviews must be honest, lawful, and based on genuine experiences.
LOCOVA reserves the right to remove content that is misleading, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent, deceptive, manipulative, unlawful, or otherwise inconsistent with community standards.
12. Intellectual Property
LOCOVA and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the platform, including software, algorithms, designs, trademarks, branding, interfaces, content, and proprietary technology.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property rights to users or vendors.
By uploading content to the platform, you grant LOCOVA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, promote, analyze, and use such content in connection with operating, improving, marketing, and protecting the platform.
13. Prohibited Activities
Users may not use LOCOVA to engage in fraud, scams, impersonation, harassment, hate speech, unlawful conduct, intellectual property infringement, unauthorized advertising, data scraping, account manipulation, security testing without authorization, spam, deceptive practices, or activities that interfere with platform operations.
14. Suspension and Termination
LOCOVA may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the platform at any time where it reasonably believes a user has violated these Terms, created risk to the platform, harmed other participants, engaged in unlawful activity, or compromised platform integrity.
15. Disclaimers
The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LOCOVA disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, or uninterrupted operation.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LOCOVA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or economic damages arising from or related to the use of the platform.
LOCOVA shall not be responsible for losses resulting from user conduct, vendor conduct, third party services, inaccurate listings, business decisions, travel arrangements, booking failures, payment failures, service interruptions, cybersecurity incidents, AI generated recommendations, or user reliance on platform content.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, LOCOVA’s total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the affected user to LOCOVA during the twelve months preceding the claim.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LOCOVA, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners, and representatives from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, expenses, and legal fees arising from your use of the platform, your content, your conduct, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Before commencing legal proceedings, parties agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes through good faith discussions.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts of Nigeria.
19. Changes to These Terms
LOCOVA may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in law, technology, platform functionality, business operations, or user needs.
Continued use of the platform following publication of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
